Instant Stuffed Pav | Sweet or Savoury

This recipe was born during Ramadan when I wanted to make "Bread Nirachathu" that we Moplahs enjoy making during winter, for iftars and for all kinds of salkarams (feast) :-) InshaAllah, I hope to make the authentic version again for the blog sometime soon. But today, I am sharing the easy version of Bread Nirachathu which translates to "Stuffed Bread" but because I am using Pav, which is almost like Dinner Rolls, and one of my Instagram followers called it Instant bread nirachathu, so I am calling this Instant Stuffed Pav.

A very easy and fancy snack that you can make for your mid day break or like some of my Instagram followers, make it for those unplanned guests who arrive without notice! And what more, you can pretty much stuff anything that you love to eat. I have two go-to stuffings that I enjoy eating; sweet plantains and savoury omelette!

I never intended to blog this because there isn't really a recipe so I rather share a guideline to get you started. I compiled the pictures and made a video because I know many of you will have the question of how to stuff and seal a pav which is so soft! Covered!

Pav is never on my grocery list until one day I saw fresh Pav packs in Lulu by Lulu and they looked too good to not pick them. Though a true Pav lover would have made vada pav or pav bhaji, I like a true Moplah, dunk them in my chai and had :-P Or is it an Ashraf thing? Anyways, the next time I made Bread Nirachathu during Ramadan which my dad and mom were sharing the recipe over voice chat. The pav was too delicate to get a whole boiled egg into it so I stuffed halved boiled eggs along with the meat filling. I am sorry I am deviating the topic... There are no such complications in what I am sharing today. Trust me!

One morning, I made Kaai Vatiyathu for my breakfast and tried stuffing that into the pav. We all love good surprises right? Though I stuffed it myself, I still got excited to bite to see the stuffing :-) The next day I tried with omelette and made for F too. There truly is nothing new, it is pav and it is your usual eggs but it creates a visual treat that makes you salivate.
